Top Eight Bookworm Delights

If you are like me little things bring you pleasure and delight when it comes to books. It might be as simple as removing an ugly sale sticker or it could be the release of the finale of a favorite series. There are many things that delight me and I want to share just a few today as part of Top Ten Tuesday.

1) Curling up on the couch to read under a blanket - My favorite place to read is my couch. It is not a coincidence that if my couch is messy I don't do a lot of reading. For some reason if I can't read there my progress is slow in the book I'm working on. I love my couch and curling up under a cozy blanket and good book is the best.

2) Finding your favorite book or series in a book store - Even though I already own copies of my favorite books, when I find them in a book store I get really excited. Maybe because I try to push them on my friends when I see them in the wild.

3) When the house is quiet and you have nowhere to go - For me, these moments are few and far between. I almost never have the house to myself, but when I do it is such a treat! No interruptions and just silence for me.

4) Getting the email that your books have shipped - This email can make my day closely followed by the email that my books have actually arrived.

5) Book Sale Book Shopping - Looking through piles of random books might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is mine! I enjoy spending time around books in general, and I like browsing through tables of books. It is interesting to see what else is out there other than the specific books I shop for online or in a store.

6) Making a cup of coffee or tea exclusively to drink while reading - Well this cup of coffee could be to drink while I read or it might be the cup I let get cold while I'm reading an amazing book!!

7) Deckled Edges - I LOVE deckled edged books. I love it even though it doesn't make sense. That detail adds a nice touch to the book and I'm always excited when I see a book has it.

8) Little Extras from an author about their characters - There are few things that delight me more than seeing a author discuss their characters or gives snippets about their characters. It makes me more happy than nessessary and brings out my fangirl side.
